Code of conduct

The rules.

We moderate hard so everyone gets a fair game. These apply to every player, every gamemode. Read them before you connect — "didn't know" isn't a defence when you eat a ban.

Discord rules.

The Discord is where the community lives. Keep it usable for everyone.

  • Staff decisions are final.
  • No advertising, no self-promo.
  • No spam — text or voice.
  • Only ping staff or open a ticket for something real.
  • No hacking sites, no suspicious links.
  • No NSFW content, anywhere.
  • No hateful, toxic or discriminatory content.
  • Use channels for what they're for.

All gamemode rules.

Applies to every server we run. No exceptions.

  • Cheats, scripts or macros — ban. Pretending you used them or lying about it — also ban.
  • Spamming chat, mic abuse, racism and advertising are all bannable.
  • No abusing game or server bugs / glitches.
  • No stream-sniping.
  • Impersonating or disrespecting staff = ban.
  • Don't wall off monuments. Quarries are the exception.
  • Ban evasion = permanent ban.
  • No excessive camping in or around safe-zone outposts (staff define "excessive").
  • No excessive trolling in or around safe zones.
  • Any RUST game ban in the last 90 days = no entry.
  • We reserve the right to ban any player or group, any time.
  • Multiple game-banned alt accounts = ban.

Defamation

Slander or libel of the server — in-game or on our public channels — isn't tolerated. Moderated at our discretion. Players who do this while trying to keep playing and stirring others up will get banned.

Offensive materials

No offensive content on in-game items. Admins can modify or remove items without warning. Covers anything customisable — signs, fireworks, artwork, edited messages.

Real-life threats

Strictly forbidden. Action scales with severity. Doxing means releasing info sourced outside Steam, Rust, our Discord, or anything the individual willingly shared. Action is only taken when the info is credible — not hearsay.

Toxicity

Behaviour that drags the server down isn't allowed — chat spam, racism, promoting self-harm. Bypassing the server filter is actively moderated.

If you think a call was wrong, open a ticket in Discord. We'd rather talk it out than lose a good player.

Life gamemode rules.

Life-specific

  • If you're a cop, don't grief civilians or ruin their game. Example: keeping a civ restrained without processing them at PD = not allowed.
  • Cops cannot team with civilians. No assisting them in raids, robberies, or anything adjacent.
  • Don't block property doors with objects or entities.

Life teaming rules

Rotate gang members anytime. When you do, clear sleeping bodies out of properties. You can trade and interact with other players, and walk through other properties for pathing.

Gangs cannot collaborate in PvP or raids. No jointly defending resources or items against other gangs.

Enter a KOS (Kill-On-Sight) zone and every gang member becomes a valid target — no alliances, full stop.

No defending each other's properties.

Break these and every gang involved eats a 24-hour ban.
Hard gang cap on Life: 4 members.

Original teaming rules.

Rotate team members anytime. When you rotate, destroy their bed/bag and kill their sleeping body. Sharing base resources with non-team members counts as an alliance — not allowed.

You can be civil with other groups but not collaborate — no roaming or raiding together. Catch an alliance and every group involved eats a 24-hour ban.

Group limits

  • Max roaming team: 4 members
  • Max base group: 4 members

Lazarus banning procedure.

We collect evidence before issuing bans. No one gets banned on hearsay or vibes. If you were banned, there was proof.

Ban durations scale with the violation (detailed above).

Courtesy during bans

As a courtesy, mods may try to secure your base doors, keep upkeep running, and store your loot. Not guaranteed.

If you want the best shot at that, share your base coords with mods privately via a Discord ticket. If we can't find your base, we can't protect it.

We're not responsible for anything that happens to your base or loot during the ban/appeal window — including raids or PvP involving offline players.

Repeat offenders

Second suspension within a year for teaming/base/allied-distance violations = permanent ban, with limited appeal direct to admins. Third violations are non-appealable.

Got questions? Open a ticket.

Something unclear, or want to appeal a ban? The ticket system in our Discord is the right place.
